Job Title: Siemens PLC/HMI Technical Lead

Location: Pune

Experience: 6-9 years

Industry: Industrial Automation / Manufacturing / Engineering, Preferable Life science Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of PLC and HMI applications using Siemens S7-317-2 PN/DP, S7-315-2 DP, S7-317-2 DP, and S7-1214 CPUs.
• Architect and implement HMI solutions using TP1500, TP700, TP900, and KP400 Comfort panels.
• Define and enforce coding standards, documentation practices, and version control for automation projects.
• Manage a team of automation engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and process engineering.
• Oversee system integration, FAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting at client sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve system performance and development efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Siemens PLC and HMI development.
• Strong command of TIA Portal, STEP 7 (v5.x), and WinCC (Comfort/Advanced).
• Expertise in industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, MPI, Ethernet/IP).
• Proven experience in leading automation projects and teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, OPC UA, MQTT, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile project management and version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Exposure to multi-vendor environments (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider).
