[Requirement]
The client is looking to hire Restaurant Staff in Japan under the SSW program. Given below are the detailed requirements and process:
Position - Restaurant staff
Employment Type - Full Time Staff
Gross Salary - Salary: 240,000 yen per month (probationary period: 1 month)
*Includes approx. 54,000 yen as overtime pay (Average overtime: 35 hours per month. Pls note that Overtime payment is FIXED regardless of if the employee works for 15 hours or 50 hrs. No additional payment will be done for Overtime.
**Salary is paid fully even during the probationary period
Salary Increment - Once a year (The amount is based on candidate’s performance totally)
Bonus - Twice a year (minimum amount: one month worth of salary, however it varies based on company performance and the individual performance)
Job Description
- F&B service (Communicating with customers, taking them to the table, order taking, transactions, etc.)
- Kitchen operations (cooking, preparation, etc.)
- Hygiene management for food, including cleaning the facilities and restrooms etc.
*After joining the company, you will initially start with the above tasks and gradually take on the following responsibilities:
- Procurement of ingredients and beverages
- Store operations and management (sales, food labor management)
- Staff recruitment and development, part-time staff training
- Shift scheduling, team building
- Planning and implementation of promotional activities (menu, flyers, etc.)
- Any other task that may be assigned to you.
- Both F&B and Kitchen tasks are to be performed once the candidate joins s. Assuming that the candidate’s main tasks on some days are F&B, even then he/she will be required to do Kitchen help, which might include cooking. Similarly, even if a person is mainly assigned tasks in the Kitchen, still he/she may be required to do F&B as well.
Number of Positions - 20
Workplace - Various locations across Kansai area (western part of Japan). Candidate could be posted anywhere in Japan
Working Conditions:
- Shift System
- 9 hours of actual work including at least 1 hour of break (between 13:00 AM - 23:00 PM)
- Annual Holidays: 100 days per year, including various types of holidays.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification
- Candidates having Hotel Management degree from a reputed institute of India OR Diploma. But the Diploma must be at least 6 months OR higher. The Higher the better.
- Experience in F&B AND/ OR Kitchen is good to have, However, New Graduates (Freshers) are also welcome.
- Who are willing to learn Japanese full-time for approx. 9 months or until they are able to pass the SSW related exams successfully to obtain the work visa for Japan)
Age - 20 ~ 27 Years
Gender - Male (35%): Female (65%)
English Requirement - Good
Expectations from Selected Candidates - Should be willing to learn full time Japanese Language (up to N3) for 9 months

Process
Interview & Training
- Interview Location –Delhi
- Interview Dates – 22nd and 23rd January 2024 in Delhi
- The selected candidates will undergo full time paid Japanese language training for 9 months by NSDCI in identified location (preferably Gurugram).
- Regular interaction with Japanese natives for better exposure.
- The candidate must pass Japanese Language Exams and SSW Skill Exams as per the schedule.
- No Recruitment Fees are to be paid by the candidate. Only Japanese Language training fees is being charged.
- The Japanese Language Exams are available in India and can be attempted Delhi / Bangaluru.
- The SSW Exam is currently not available in India. The candidates will appear for SSW Exam in Nepal, Sri Lanka or any other nearby country. The first attempt will be sponsored by the Japanese company. Any subsequent attempt (in case candidate is not able to pass in 1st attempt) will be paid by the candidate.
