Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabrication Factory Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication processes, production management, and leadership. The Fabrication Factory Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management:
· Plan, organize, and oversee the production processes within the fabrication facility.
· Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and project deadlines.
· Optimize production workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs.
2. Quality Control:
· Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that fabricated products meet or exceed industry standards.
· Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality specifications.
3. Team Leadership:
· Lead and supervise a team of fabrication professionals, including welders, fabricators, and support staff.
· Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to enhance team performance and skill levels.
· Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
4. Resource Management:
· Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production goals.
· Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure a timely and cost-effective supply chain.
5. Health and Safety Compliance:
· Enforce and promote a strong safety culture within the fabrication facility.
· Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
6. Budget Management:
· Develop and manage budgets for the fabrication department, ensuring cost-effective production without compromising quality.
· Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on budget variances.
7. Continuous Improvement:
· Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
· Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the fabrication facility.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
· Proven experience of 6-10 years in a leadership role within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, and forming.
· Excellent organizational and project management skills.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve production goals.
· In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
· Proficient in using fabrication-related software and tools.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
