Job Summary :

Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate knitting machines to produce fabrics as per production requirements.
- Load yarns and adjust machine settings, including tension, speed, and needle configuration.
- Start and stop machines as needed to ensure proper operation.
Process Monitoring:
- Monitor machine performance to identify irregularities such as dropped stitches or broken yarns.
- Make adjustments during production to maintain fabric quality and minimize defects.
- Notify the supervisor of persistent machine issues or significant production problems.
Material Handling:
- Load yarns and ensure they are properly threaded into the machine.
- Check yarn consistency and replace spools as needed during production.
- Handle finished fabrics carefully to prevent damage during removal and transport.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect fabrics during and after production for defects, such as uneven knitting or color inconsistencies.
- Maintain fabric width, density, and texture as specified in production guidelines.
- Report defects to the supervisor and assist in implementing corrective measures.
Basic Maintenance:
- Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of knitting machines to ensure smooth operation.
- Replace needles, sinkers, and other small machine parts as needed.
- Assist the maintenance team with more extensive repairs when required.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of machine performance, production output, and material usage.
- Report production data and issues to the supervisor for review.
