Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will spearhead our efforts to expand Wavex Auto Care’s market presence and revenue. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and the forging of new partnerships, requiring a visionary approach to identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. The successful candidate will lead a team of Business Development Executives, guiding them to success and ensuring the achievement of sales goals and company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to introduce Wavex Auto Care products into new markets and segments. Analyse market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies accordingly.
Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the Business Development team, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and providing coaching to ensure targets are met.
Partnership Development: Identify potential partners in the automotive industry and related sectors, and negotiate agreements to enhance product distribution and sales channels.
Sales Growth: Drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with new clients, while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing ones.
Market Expansion: Evaluate new market opportunities and lead the expansion into these markets. Develop and oversee the implementation of effective market-entry strategies.
Performance Metrics: Set and manage sales targets and KPIs, providing regular reports on progress to senior management.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service, to ensure a cohesive approach to business growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven track record of success in a business development role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity, preferably in the automotive or auto care industry.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with a robust analytical ability to forecast market trends and business opportunities.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Availability to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
