Job Description: Business Development Executive (BDE) – Direct Distribution (Bakery Industry)

Job Summary:
We are seeking dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executives (BDEs) to expand our direct distribution channel in Patna, Bihar. The primary responsibility is to onboard new retail outlets, ensure consistent order placement, and drive sales growth. The role requires extensive fieldwork, market intelligence gathering, and retailer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Retail Outlet Acquisition
- Identify and onboard new retail outlets per month.
- Pitch the company’s bakery product range and finalize business agreements.
- Achieve a minimum daily order value per outlet, generating new business per month.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive product sales through direct engagement with retailers.
- Educate retailers on product benefits, pricing, and promotional offers.
- Ensure timely order placements and improve outlet retention.
3. Payment Collection & Account Management
- Monitor sales and collections from newly onboarded retailers for one month before handover to the operations team.
- Ensure timely payment collections and resolve retailer concerns.
4. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct surveys to understand retailer demand, pricing, and competitor activity.
- Share insights with the management team for strategic planning.
5. Daily Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain and submit field reports, including sales performance, retailer feedback, and market insights.
- Work closely with the Ops & Distribution team for seamless order fulfillment.
- Track field movement for variable conveyance claims.
Required Skills & Competencies:
✅ Sales & Negotiation – Ability to convince and onboard retailers.
✅ Market Knowledge – Understanding of local retail & distribution dynamics.
✅ Communication & Relationship Management – Engaging retailers effectively.
✅ Target-Driven & Self-Motivated – Achieve monthly sales & onboarding goals.
✅ Payment Handling & Basic Accounting – Ensuring smooth collections.
✅ Mobility & Physical Stamina – Must be willing to travel extensively within Patna.
✅ Basic Digital Skills – Using Google Forms, WhatsApp, CRM tools for reporting.
Eligibility Criteria:
✔ Education – Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate (Preferred: Any stream).
✔ Experience – 1-3 years in FMCG sales / direct distribution (Bakery, Dairy, Snacks, Beverages preferred) for Exeuctive Role & Higher for AM/ Manager Role
✔ Two-Wheeler with Valid License – Mandatory for field movement.
✔ Local Candidate Preferred – Must have knowledge of Patna’s retail market.
