Job Summary:

A Solar Installer is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar panel systems on rooftops or ground-mounted structures. The role requires knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical skills, and safety procedures to ensure the proper functioning of solar energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems according to design specifications.
• Conduct site assessments to determine the best location for solar panels.
• Connect electrical components, including inverters and batteries, ensuring proper wiring and grounding.
• Test solar panels and systems for efficiency and troubleshoot any issues.
• Follow safety protocols while working at heights or with electrical systems.
• Work with engineers and project managers to complete installations efficiently.
• Maintain and repair solar energy systems when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 6 months to 1 year in the solar industry.
• Educational Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy (preferred).
• Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of solar PV systems and electrical components.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel to different project sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Solar PV Installation (like NSDC Solar Technician course).
• Experience with net metering and solar inverters.
• Familiarity with grid-tied and off-grid solar systems.
