Job Summary:

A Security Guard is responsible for protecting property, assets, personnel, and visitors by maintaining a safe and secure environment. The role includes patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and responding to security threats or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or security breaches.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other individuals.
• Operate surveillance cameras and security systems to detect unusual activities.
• Respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and report incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Conduct security checks on doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are locked and secure.
• Assist in emergency situations such as fire, medical emergencies, or evacuations.
• Provide assistance and directions to employees and visitors when necessary.
• Maintain daily reports of activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Enforce company policies and regulations to maintain order within the premises.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Valid security guard license (if required by local law).
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of security and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
