Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides basic medical care and transportation to critically injured or ill individuals, often within an ambulance. They assess patients, provide first aid, and stabilize them for transport to a medical facility. EMTs perform tasks like CPR, wound care, and administering oxygen, all while following established medical protocols. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic Life Support:

  Providing immediate care like CPR, administering oxygen, and managing airways. 

• Wound Care:

  Cleaning and dressing wounds, splinting fractures, and controlling bleeding. 

• Patient Transport:

  Safely transporting patients to the nearest medical facility for further treatment. 

• Equipment Operation:

  Operating and maintaining emergency medical equipment, including AEDs and suction devices. 

• Communication:

  Communicating effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals. 

• Record Keeping:

  Documenting patient care, treatments, and observations in a clear and accurate manner. 

• Scene Safety:

  Ensuring the safety of themselves, their crew, and the patient at the scene of an emergency. 

• Patient Assessment:

  Evaluating a patient's condition to determine the severity of their injuries or illness.
