Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing academic guidance and career counselling to students, helping them make informed educational decisions and navigate their learning paths successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide students regarding course selection, academic planning, and career pathways.

  • Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions and group workshops.

  • Assist students in understanding program offerings, admissions processes, and eligibility requirements.

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on curricula, programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Monitor student progress and provide necessary academic interventions.

  • Maintain accurate records of counselling interactions and follow-ups.

  • Coordinate with faculty and other departments for student support and problem resolution.

  • Participate in marketing and outreach activities, including open houses, seminars, and webinars.

  • Provide support for student retention and engagement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in academic advising, student counselling, or a related role (freshers with relevant training may also apply).

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work with diverse student populations and handle sensitive situations with empathy.

  • Familiarity with educational systems, student information systems, and CRM tools is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for student success.

  • Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations.
