Driver Recruitment process- SoP
Driver is an important asset in protecting company reputation and having safe drivers is critical for Logistics Business. It is important to have a methodical approach to hire drivers. Guidelines for hiring Drivers published below & to adhere while recruitment.
1. Qualification: Eligibility for driver should be 10th Class Pass
2. Driving License: The candidate should posses Valid Heavy Transport driver license. Agency to verify License Validity / Genuity before appointing him.
3. Age: Must be below 45 years of age. Agency to verify the age of the Aadhar Card & Driving License. Date of Birth should same in both documents.
4. Experience: The candidate should have minimum 4 years of driving Heavy Transport vehicles
5. Driving Test: Driver Trainer of respective Gateway to test the driving skills of the candidate by truck connected with Trailer in forward & reverse directions.
6. Medical Certificate: Candidate to get Medical Certificate from Registered Medical Practitioner / Hospital before joining the service. The Certificate should be within 15 days at the time of Joining.
7. Basic Training -Volvo: Every Candidate to undergo 5 days Basic Driver Training on Volvo vehicles and qualify to operate Volvo Trucks.
8. On the Job Training: Candidate as D3 to operate Volvo Truck 5,000km in 30- 60 days’ time on highways along with Senior Drivers to get familiarize Volvo Trucks Operation.
9. OJT Assessment: On Successful completion of 5,000km training, Director to assess the skill levels of D3 Drivers & authorize to drive Volvo Truck. Hence forth Hub Operations to verify Driving license validity periodically.
Salary Structure:
1. XL/MXL: 25000/- Net along with 3 lakh medical insurance+PF.
2. Volvo/Trailer: 35000/- Net along with 3 lakh medical insurance+PF.
