Job Summary :

Technical Expertise in Solar Solutions: 

Openings in Trivandrum, Kollam, Kottayam and Kozhikode. 

A Solar Sales Engineer focused on the Business-to-Consumer (B2C) market at our company.

Key Responsibilities of a B2C Solar Sales Engineer:

  • Residential Solar Expertise:

    • Possessing in-depth knowledge of residential solar PV systems, including different panel types, inverters (string, micro), battery storage options suitable for homes, and mounting solutions for various roof types common in Kerala.

    • Understanding net metering policies and incentives available for residential solar installations in Kerala and India.

    • Keeping abreast of local regulations and permitting processes for residential solar projects in Kerala.

  • Homeowner Consultation and Education:

    • Meeting with individual homeowners to understand their energy consumption, financial goals, and aesthetic preferences.

    • Clearly explaining the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and energy independence, in a way that resonates with a non-technical audience.

    • Educating homeowners on the different components of a solar system, the installation process, and system maintenance.

  • Site Assessment and System Design (Residential Focus):

    • Conducting detailed site evaluations of residential properties, paying close attention to roof size, orientation, shading from trees or nearby buildings (common in Kerala), and electrical panel compatibility.

    • Presenting system designs and financial proposals in a clear and understandable manner to homeowners.

  • Financial Proposal and ROI Analysis (Residential Focus):

    • Developing clear and transparent financial proposals outlining the system cost, potential savings on electricity bills, payback period, and return on investment (ROI) for homeowners.

    • Explaining financing options, government subsidies, and tax benefits available for residential solar installations in Kerala.

  • Sales Process Management (B2C):

    • Managing the entire sales cycle from initial lead generation or qualification to closing the deal with individual homeowners.

    • Building rapport and trust with potential customers through clear communication and addressing their concerns effectively.

    • Coordinating with internal teams (installation, permitting, customer service) to ensure a smooth customer experience.

  • Lead Generation and Networking (Residential Focus):

    • Participating in local events, home shows, and community initiatives to generate leads and raise awareness about residential solar solutions in respective locations.

    • Building relationships with local homeowner associations and community groups.

  • Customer Relationship Management (B2C):

    • Maintaining ongoing communication with customers throughout the sales and installation process.

    • Addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.

    • Potentially providing post-installation support and acting as a point of contact for warranty or service inquiries.

  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting (Residential Focus):

    • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.

    • Providing regular sales reports and forecasts for the residential market segment.

  • Staying Updated on Residential Solar Trends:

    • Keeping informed about new residential solar technologies, smart home integration possibilities, and evolving consumer preferences in the solar market.
