Key Responsibilities:

·        Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks CAD software.

·        Create and manage 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and related documentation.

·        Conduct tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and motion studies to ensure design feasibility.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure designs meet functional, cost, and manufacturability requirements.

·        Maintain documentation process of ECRN, CMS Etc.

·        Distribution & control of Master copies of part / product drawings.

·        Perform DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) and ensure compliance with industry standards.

·        Support prototyping, testing, and validation of designs to ensure performance and safety.

·        Modify and revise existing designs to improve functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

·        Maintain design records, revision control, and engineering change documentation.

·        Troubleshoot design and production issues, providing innovative solutions.

·        Stay updated with the latest CAD tools, design methodologies, and material technologies.

·        Design & development of production & assembly tools, fixtures, material handling equipment etc.

·        Product field trial & validation.

·        Prototype manufacturing.

·        APQP time line,stages & documentation.

·        Maintaining product data in soft & hard copies.

 Qualifications & Experience:

·        Degree in Mechanical Engineering with CGPA above 8.0

·        2-5 years of experience in Product design in OEM / Engineering services organisation.

·        Strong analytical skills, leadership, and communication abilities.

·        Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings, sheet metal, weldments, surfacing, simulation preferred).

·        Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering drawings.

·        Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, casting, plastics, etc.).

·        Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), CFD, or SolidWorks Simulation is an advantage.

·        Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·        Good communication and teamwork abilities.

·        Experience with PDM (Product Data Management) tools is a plus.

·        Experience in transmission, fabrication & Agri-equipment is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

·        2–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role.

·        Experience in product design, industrial equipment, automotive, or related industries.

·        Exposure to prototype development and testing.

·        Well versed with ISO & IS Standards.

·        Well versed with tool design for welding fixture,press tools & assembly tools.

·        Knowledge of APQP,PFMEA,DFMEA.

·        Initiative & drive for continuous improvement.
