Job Summary:

We are seeking a semi skilled Jewellery Polisher & Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, polishing, and finishing various types of jewellery to ensure they meet the company’s high-quality standards before delivery to clients or display.

Key Responsibilities:

• Polish jewellery pieces using appropriate tools (e.g., polishing wheels, brushes, compounds).
• Clean jewellery items using ultrasonic cleaners, steamers, and other industry-standard equipment.
• Inspect jewellery for flaws or damage before and after polishing/cleaning.
• Handle delicate and high-value jewellery pieces with extreme care.
• Ensure each piece meets quality and finish standards before moving to the next stage.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Perform basic maintenance of polishing and cleaning equipment.
• Work closely with jewellers, setters, and quality control teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhere to health, safety, and security procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle intricate designs.
• Knowledge of polishing and cleaning techniques for various metals and gemstones.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Physical dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Basic understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification in jewellery making or finishing (optional but beneficial).
• Experience working with both precious and semi-precious jewellery items.

Working Conditions:

• Workshop environment with exposure to polishing compounds, cleaning solutions, and machinery.
• Protective equipment provided and required.
