Assistant / Deputy Manager – Operations (Facility Management)

Role Summary
Responsible for recruiting, training, and managing facility staff across multiple customer sites and mobile service teams.
The role involves end-to-end operations management, vendor coordination, and ensuring service delivery standards for technical and soft
services including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, ELV systems, and related facility functions.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Training
Recruit, onboard, and train facility technicians (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, ELV) and housekeeping staff for various customer sites.
Implement skill development and safety training (HSE, toolbox talks, risk assessments) to ensure a zero-harm environment.
Operations Management
Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day facility operations across multiple sites, including preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Oversee technical services, soft services, and mobile service teams to meet agreed service levels.
Vendor & Client Management
Monitor vendor/contractor performance, SLAs, and ensure timely payments and compliance with contracts.
Conduct regular client meetings to resolve operational issues, cross-sell services, and drive business growth.
Financial & Administrative Control
Manage site budgets, monitor expenses, and control P&L for assigned locations.
Ensure timely payroll processing, billing, and receivables follow-up.
Compliance & Quality
Enforce adherence to statutory, safety, and industry standards including ISO and EHS requirements.
Maintain documentation and audit readiness across all sites.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or related discipline; MBA in Operations preferred.
2–5 years of experience in facility management operations with strong exposure to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, ELV, and general maintenance.
Proven ability to recruit and manage multi-skilled facility staff across multiple sites.
Strong vendor management, budgeting, and client relationship skills.
Certifications in Six Sigma, EHS, or Quality Management will be an advantage.
