Role Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design and plan the technical implementation of the project

Follow SAP ASAP Methodology for the implementations

Define detailed blueprint for development requirements

IT Process implementation across all related IT components

IT components specific expert consulting

Support of operating system

Support for system optimization

Hep in Pre Sales, RFP, Solution Design, Migration, Upgrade methodology

Execute workshops at customers

Demonstrates strong problem solving abilities

Develops value based business cases for customers

Posts own information to share lessons learned and new tips and information

Learn all new techniques required in the project, Oversee the performance of consultants, mentoring them, building up their skill and moulding juniors

Keep up to date on the technology development

Understands and ensures that quality standards are met

Applies methods and KM tools appropriate to specific needs of the project

Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of materials and delivery

To ensure regular review points or meetings are held with the customer and all the internal stakeholders are appraised

To ensure that issues are escalated to appropriate people in a timely manner and agree on plans for corrective actions along with Delivery Manager and SBU Head

To analyse our current unmet business demand and highlight the same to the management with reasons and corrective plans

Adhere to all the standards and procedures set by the companys quality system and the project plan

Responsibilities

Design and develop processes for knowledge management with regards to project information

Ensure that the Project is closed properly to the satisfaction of the customer as per our set procedure along with the Project Manager

Ensure that project learning is replicated across various projects within the organization

Provide inputs during proposal making

Ensure timely timesheet filling for self and team members

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Should have minimum of 8 to 9 years hands on experience as SAP Basis Administrator with experience in at least 2 to 3 full life cycle implementation projects as Senior Basis Consultant

Should be SAP BASIS Certified on any product

Should have minimum of 6 years of proven experience in Technical System Administration with demonstrated experience in Database and or Operating system administration and AMS Support experience in handling customers, consultants as lead

Should have worked on various RDBMS software s on SAP like Oracle, MaxDB, MS SQL HANA etc.

Should have Experience on High Availability or Cluster, Disaster recovery implementations

Technical Skills

Should have worked on SAP NW products like EP, PI, MDM and BI and SAP Business Suite products

Must have handled the tasks like Installation, Kernel update, support package application, enhancement package installation, database backup, restore, reorganization

Should be well versed with Java administration and trouble shooting

Strong knowledge of Operating Systems and cluster implementations

Should possess strong knowledge of Solution Manager

Team handling experience during implementation AND Support engagements

Must have been in customer engagement role

Thorough knowledge of estimation process and methodology

Sound knowledge of proposal and contract documents

Knowledge of Project Management tools

Sound knowledge of KM systems and their business value
