Overview

The Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for expanding the company’s customer base, driving sales growth, and building strong relationships with clients in the jewellery industry. The role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, managing key accounts, and supporting revenue targets through strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in retail, wholesale, and export segments.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and trade partners.

• Present jewellery collections, catalogues, and product proposals to potential clients.

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and business development targets.

• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

• Coordinate with design, production, and logistics teams for timely order fulfilment.

• Participate in jewellery exhibitions, trade shows, and promotional events.

• Maintain sales reports, lead pipelines, and client feedback records.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of jewellery products, design trends, and industry standards.

• Target-driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused approach.

• Ability to travel frequently and build professional relationships.

• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or related field.

• Freshers with excellent communication skills may also be considered.
