Job Summary:
The Plumber is responsible for performing installation, repair, and maintenance of water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, and plumbing systems within the facility. The role ensures smooth functioning of all plumbing-related operations and timely resolution of complaints.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Repair Work
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures.
Identify plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and pressure problems.
Replace damaged or defective components.
2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Conduct routine inspections of washrooms, kitchens, RO plants, pump rooms, and water tanks.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) for all plumbing lines and equipment.
Attend all breakdown calls and resolve issues within defined timelines.
3. Water Supply & Drainage Management
Maintain adequate water pressure across the facility.
Monitor and clean overhead and underground water tanks.
Ensure proper functioning of sump pumps, sewage pumps, and STP inlet/outlet connections.
4. Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols while working with tools, ladders, and plumbing systems.
Ensure plumbing work meets building codes and compliance standards.
Maintain hygiene and proper housekeeping in work areas.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with the Facility Officer, Electrician, and Technician for joint works.
Provide daily updates on completed tasks and pending issues.
Record materials used and inform the supervisor for stock replenishment.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
ITI in Plumber / Fitter or equivalent certification.
0.6 –2 years of experience in plumbing maintenance in commercial buildings, apartments, or industrial setups.
Strong knowledge of water supply systems, drainage lines, pump systems, and sanitary fixtures.
Ability to read plumbing drawings and layouts.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift moderate weights and work in confined spaces.
Flexibility to work during emergencies, weekends, or extended hours if required.
