The Supplier Quality Inspector (SQA) will be responsible for conducting pre-dispatch inspections of finished goods at supplier locations, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards defined by CRI Pumps. The role involves field inspections, SAP-based reporting, and coordination with internal quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Visit assigned supplier locations as per the inspection plan.
· Inspect finished goods before dispatch as per approved drawings and specifications.
· Perform inspections using standard quality methods:
o Visual Inspection
o Dimensional Inspection
o Functional Inspection
· Use precision measuring instruments such as:
o Vernier Caliper
o Micrometer
o Dial Gauge
o Height Gauge
· Follow defined sampling plans and ensure samples meet quality requirements.
· Upload inspection reports and results in the SAP portal.
· Approve or reject lots based on inspection outcomes:
o Approved: Meets specifications – upload reports.
o Rejected: Does not meet specifications – upload reports.
o Approved under Deviation: Record CRI-approved deviations and communicate to CRI Pumps.
· Identify, report, and handle Non-Conformance (NC) issues.
· Coordinate with team leads for clarification or technical support when required.
· Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
Educational Qualification & Experience
Inspector Level
· Minimum: Diploma in Engineering with 2–3 years of relevant quality inspection experience
· Preferred: B.E. (Engineering) with 1–2 years of relevant quality experience
Supervisor Level (If Applicable)
· Minimum: Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience
· Preferred: B.E. with 3 years of relevant experience
Technical Skills Required
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (Mandatory)
· Hands-on experience with quality measuring instruments (Mandatory)
· Basic SAP knowledge (inspection report uploading & review)
· Inspection reporting and documentation
· Knowledge of quality standards and inspection practices
· Strong attention to detail and defect identification skills

· Two-wheeler with a valid driving license (Mandatory)
· Willingness to travel to multiple supplier locations
· Strong field inspection exposure and quality mindset
