 Position Overview

The Captain is the leader and decision-maker responsible for operating and navigating a vessel, ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo. At Jari Kart Pvt Ltd, this role combines operational leadership with compliance to maritime regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Navigation & Operations
  • Operate and steer the vessel in compliance with maritime laws and safety standards.
  • Plan routes, monitor weather conditions, and adjust course as needed.
  • Oversee docking, anchoring, and cargo handling procedures.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo at all times.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
  • Maintain compliance with international and local maritime regulations.
• Crew Leadership
  • Supervise and manage crew members, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Foster teamwork and discipline onboard.
• Communication & Reporting

• Maintain communication with port authorities, company management, and other vessels.
• Prepare voyage reports, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
• Report mechanical or operational issues promptly.

 Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Captain’s license or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of navigation systems, maritime laws, and safety protocols.
• Proven leadership and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
