ole Summary
The Quality Head will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing robust Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems across manufacturing operations. This leadership role ensures compliance with internal quality standards, ISO and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement in product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management & Control
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) across manufacturing units.
Ensure adherence to defined quality standards for raw materials, in-process manufacturing, and finished goods.
Establish quality benchmarks and inspection standards for all agricultural implements.
2. Process & Product Improvement
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and rejection levels.
Collaborate with Production, Design, and R&D teams to enhance product reliability and performance.
3. Vendor & Incoming Quality Management
Define vendor quality standards and conduct supplier audits.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance of purchased components and raw materials.
Support vendor development initiatives to improve consistency and quality.
4. Audit, Compliance & Documentation
Plan and conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external audits.
Ensure compliance with ISO, safety, and applicable regulatory standards.
Maintain SOPs, quality manuals, inspection records, and audit documentation.
5. Customer Quality & Feedback Management
Analyze customer complaints, warranty issues, and field feedback.
Coordinate with service teams and dealer networks to implement corrective actions.
Improve end-user satisfaction through proactive quality improvement measures.
6. Team Leadership & MIS Reporting
Lead, mentor, and develop the quality assurance and quality control team.
Monitor KPIs related to quality performance and process efficiency.
Prepare and present periodic quality reports, trends, and improvement plans to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Quality Management or equivalent.
Certifications in ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or TQM preferred.
Experience & Technical Skills
8–10 years of experience in a quality leadership role within manufacturing, preferably agricultural machinery, heavy engineering, or automotive sectors.
Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO standards, quality tools (7 QC tools, FMEA, SPC), and manufacturing processes.
Hands-on experience in audits, vendor quality management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and structured problem-solving techniques.
