About the Role-
We are looking for a creative, well-informed Senior Content Editor with strong digital sensibilities and deep editorial experience in the automobile and mobility ecosystem. The role will focus on content related to vehicle service and maintenance, vehicle ownership information, RTO processes, and vehicle insurance, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strong SEO performance across platforms.
This role requires someone who can lead content quality across in-house teams and agency partners, stay ahead of digital and search trends, and deliver high-quality, user-focused content at scale.
Key Responsibilities-
- Lead and manage editorial operations across in-house content teams and external agencies.
- Define and implement editorial guidelines, QC standards, and best practices specific to automobile and mobility content.
- Review, edit, and optimize content for accuracy, clarity, brand voice, regulatory correctness, and SEO performance.
- Ensure content accuracy related to vehicle service, maintenance schedules, ownership guidelines, RTO procedures, and vehicle insurance.
- Mentor and guide junior editors and writers, ensuring consistent quality and skill development.
- Coordinate end-to-end content planning and delivery timelines with internal stakeholders and agency partners.
- Create and refine SEO-driven content and headline strategies aligned with organic growth goals.
- Ensure fact-checking, compliance, and zero-error publishing across all digital platforms.
- Monitor layout, readability, formatting, and user experience across websites and content properties.
- Track content performance and drive continuous improvement in engagement, rankings, and conversions.
Key Requirements-
- 68 years of experience as a Content Editor, preferably in the automobile, mobility, or auto-tech industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with SEO content, including keyword research, SERP analysis, content audits, and on-page optimization.
- Proven experience managing in-house editorial teams and external content agencies.
- Excellent command over the English language, grammar, editing, and proofreading.
- Strong attention to detail, editorial judgment, and ownership of content quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
Preferred Skills-
- Experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress or similar).
- Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance-driven content, especially related to vehicle insurance and RTO norms.
