Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and Arc welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting before welding.

• Set up welding machines, electrodes, wires, and gas as per job requirements.

• Ensure proper weld penetration, strength, and finish quality.

• Inspect weld joints for defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion.

• Perform grinding and finishing of welded parts where required.

• Maintain welding equipment and report any machine issues.

• Follow safety norms, PPE usage, and 5S practices in the workshop.
