This role will be responsible for managing top-line & bottom-line for the Apparel Category and to execute initiatives to maximize revenue, profits and customer experience for assigned business segment and work cross-functionally and with Senior Management to ensure efficient and effective execution of strategy and roadmap.

Job Responsibilities:

• A focus on new product development and new initiatives
• Creating and developing a long-term plan and strategy for development of the category
• Develop strong working relationships with buying, marketing and merchandising teams
• End to end management of the category's top-line & bottom-line, P&L ownership for the group of categories managed
• To manage a team of Associate Category Managers & Buyers and develop and coach team
• New brand acquisition and pricing strategy, managing product portfolio and inventory management
• Vendor management: vendor sourcing & management, vendor relationship management.
• Customer management: Managing key customer relationships, developing multiple channels, optimizing Omni channel sales- through mix of online and offline sales
• Category Analytics: proficient in analytics to identify growth areas and execute
• New product development

Experience & Education:

• 10+ years of total work experience with prior experience in category management (min 5 years) for similar sized business
• Some exposure to developing private labels or private brands
• Graduate or Post Graduate from NIFT is preferred
