Position Summary

 Level: Senior Manager / Specialist Leader

As a Senior Manager/Specialist Leader at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for overall technical delivery as part of large-scale software solutions at enterprise level. You will lead functional and technical teams on the project located across shores guiding and mentoring junior team members and collaborating to understand the functional requirements. You will respond to new sales or proposals and support end-to-end delivery of the project along with estimations and planning.

You will be responsible for managing the design, development, and deployment of large-scale system implementations at an enterprise level. These applications would provide you an exposure to the most widely used platforms across the Insurance domain like Guidewire and Majesco. You will be responsible for independently managing the team and guiding team members at different levels through their career path, work through technical leads across shores to manage implementation of the functional requirements and implement them on platforms like Guidewire and Majesco. You will own the end-to-end delivery of the project from estimations, planning, and execution. You would also be responsible for managing the status and end to end delivery of the final product.

The work you will do?includes:

  • Manage discussions with business and onshore counterparts and help the technical leads come up with technical architecture and design using design patterns.
  • Manage team to develop solutions following established technical design, application development standards and quality processes in projects.
  • Manage project execution by defining the work-breakdown structure in accordance with the master project plan and track the progress.
  • Work closely with the functional team and clients to understand the business requirements
  • Lead the overall technical delivery with recommendations on architecture and implementation
  • Lead all the documentation efforts and ensure standards and best practices are followed
  • and ensure time bound delivery as per project plan
  • Work closely with the Project leadership, raise potential risks, prepare status reports
  • Guide and mentor junior resources and act as a bridge between other teams in the engagement
  • Respond to proposals and provide estimations

Qualifications

 Skills / Project Experience:

Must Have:

  • 15 20 years of overall experience in IT. Should be from Guidewire background.
  • Hands-on technical experience on implementing large-scale enterprise projects on Custom Dev. projects with at least 5 to 8 years of experience in Insurance domain implementations on different platforms.
  • At least 3 to 4 years of experience in leading multi-membered teams.
  • Managing and architecting largescale implementation across various industries along with resource and time estimations of enterprise-scale software development projects
  • Leading consultative solution design and advising clients as trusted advisors helping to transform enterprises
  • Experience leading one or more of the following areas: Strategy, Design, Application Migration planning and Implementation
  • Strong critical thinking/problem solving along with written and verbal communications are a MUST
  • Experience working on agile development teams (ideally leveraging Scrum or Kanban)
  • Experience working on a team delivering a customer-facing product
  • Experience improving and documenting standard operating procedures
  • Willing and able to learn new technologies and industry trends for cloud computing
  • Expertise with tools like MS Office (Excel, Word, MS PowerPoint), MS Visio, JIRA, Remedy, Tableau, SharePoint, Microsoft Project Plan (MPP), SQL etc.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), problem solving, analytical including effective interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in effective handling of highly sensitive, and often highly confidential, information using exemplary judgment, tact, and diplomacy
  • Experience in running teams across implement and operate types of engagements
  • Good knowledge and some hands-on experience on common platforms in Insurance such as Guidewire, Majesco, Duck creek etc.
  • Good experience of working in the Insurance domain
  • Experience of leading teams and managing multi-membered teams
  • Experience in building or testing solutions on Insurance platforms
  • Ability to comprehend Platform architecture and take decisions on architecture to be followed
  • Strong conceptual knowledge on Insurance implementations
  • Excellent sales experience, driving end to end pursuits, managing client expectations and
