Role MES Techno Functional Consultant

Role Overview:

The Delivery Lead will oversee the end?to?end delivery (Application Development + Application Support) of a custom MES application built using C#, .NET, Angular, and Oracle PL/SQL. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep functional MES knowledge, and proven experience in managing medium to large delivery teams. The Delivery Lead will be responsible for planning, execution, quality, stakeholder communication, and ensuring the MES system meets business, operational, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery and Execution Management:
• Own end?to?end delivery of MES product releases, enhancements, and support activities.
• Plan, track, and manage sprints, releases, delivery milestones, and dependencies.
• Oversee architecture, development, testing, deployment, and release management.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Manage cross?functional work including backend (.NET), frontend (Angular), and Oracle database teams.
• Y-o-Y productivity and improvement

• Team Leadership & People Management
• Lead a 35?member team including Developers, QA, DevOps, and Support Engineers.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and competency development.
• Mentor technical leads, SMEs, and module owners to ensure continuous skill uplift.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

• MES Functional Expertise
• Understand and guide teams on MES business processes such as:
• Production Orders, Workflows, WIP Management, Quality, Traceability, Inventory, Shop?floor Integrations, Reporting.
• Lead discussions with manufacturing teams, process engineers, and plant SMEs.
• Translate MES functional requirements into system design and technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards

• Stakeholder & Customer Management
• Serve as primary delivery point of contact for business, manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams.
• Manage expectations, communicate progress, risks, and dependencies proactively.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Plant Operations teams.
• Drive customer satisfaction through transparency, quality, and delivery consistency.

• Technical Oversight
• Provide technical oversight across:
• i.C#, .NET Core, REST APIs
• ii.Angular Frontend
• iii.Oracle PL/SQL, performance tuning
• iv.Microservices, distributed systems, messaging queues
• v.Linux OS for application runtime, logs, services & troubleshooting
• Enforce best practices for architecture, coding, security, and performance.
• Support optimization of backend, frontend, and database systems.

• DevOps & Release Management:
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, test automation, and deployment pipelines.
• Ensure reliable release cycles using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus, etc.
• Govern environment management across Dev, QA, Staging, and Prod environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams for certificates, security patches, DR and replication.

• Quality Assurance & Risk Management:
• Ensure proper functional and technical testing: Unit, Integration, Regression, UAT.
• Define and enforce quality KPIs and delivery metrics.
• Proactively identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, audits, and regulatory guidelines.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with C#, .NET Core/Framework, REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Angular for frontend architecture and UI workflows.
• Strong database expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, schemas, stored procedures, performance tuning.
• Experience with Linux OS including:
• Log analysis
• Service management (systemd, services)
• Shell/BASH scripting basics
• Deployment & runtime operations
• Monitoring & troubleshooting
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, caching (Redis), and messaging frameworks.
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containerized deployments.
