The Sales Manager (Oncology/Pathology) is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying business opportunities, and developing strategic relationships with pathologists, clinical laboratory scientists, and key stakeholders in oncology care. This field-facing role focuses on increasing market share for oncology diagnostic tests and services within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by conducting field-based sales activities.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with pathologists, medical oncologists, clinical laboratory supervisors, and hospital decision-makers.
- Market Development: Drive adoption of molecular and genomic tests by promoting advanced diagnostic solutions and clinical evidence to clinicians.
- Territory Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans, including local market analysis, account segmentation, and opportunity prioritization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with medical affairs, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth sample handling, result delivery, and scientific support.
- Competitor Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to provide feedback for optimizing marketing strategies.
- Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of ethics, quality, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations
