Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, and maintain fine blanking dies, including punch, die plates, guide systems, and ejectors

• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications

• Set up and troubleshoot fine blanking tooling in presses

• Ensure dies meet precision requirements for tight tolerances and high surface finish

• Perform die maintenance, repair, and sharpening to extend tool life

• Monitor wear patterns and recommend improvements for tooling performance

• Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize die performance

• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)

• Maintain documentation related to tooling, maintenance schedules, and modifications

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• Experience with fine blanking tools and high-precision metal stamping

• Strong knowledge of tool steels, heat treatment, and material behavior

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T

• Hands-on experience with CNC machines, grinding, EDM, and milling

• Knowledge of press operations used in fine blanking

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Attention to detail and precision work

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in fine blanking or precision stamping

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software

• Experience with high-tonnage presses used in fine blanking

• Knowledge of automation and tool life optimization

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing/production environment

• Exposure to heavy machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids

• May require shift work and overtime
