Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overall management of security operations, deployment of manpower, client coordination, compliance, discipline, and smooth functioning of all security assignments/sites under the company. The role ensures high service quality, client satisfaction, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

  • Manage day-to-day security operations across all assigned sites.

  • Ensure smooth deployment of security guards, supervisors, and officers.

  • Monitor attendance, shift management, and reliever arrangements.

  • Conduct surprise inspections and site visits regularly.

  • Ensure all sites operate as per client SOPs and company policies.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and resolve grievances promptly.

  • Attend client meetings and review operational performance.

  • Ensure timely closure of complaints and service issues.

  • Support client retention and contract renewal activities.

3. Manpower Management:

  • Ensure adequate manpower availability at all locations.

  • Coordinate with HR/recruitment team for hiring requirements.

  • Monitor discipline, grooming, turnout, and conduct of guards.

  • Handle transfers, replacements, and emergency deployments.

4. Training & Development:

  • Conduct induction and on-job training for security personnel.

  • Ensure guards are trained in:

    • Access control

    • Fire safety

    • Emergency response

    • Incident reporting

    • Customer handling

  • Organize refresher training programs periodically.

5. Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • PSARA

    • Labour Laws

    • Minimum Wages

    • ESI/PF regulations

    • Client compliance requirements

  • Maintain:

    • Attendance records

    • Deployment registers

    • Incident reports

    • Visitor logs

    • Training records

  • Verify statutory documentation at sites.

6. Incident & Risk Management:

  • Investigate incidents, thefts, accidents, and security breaches.

  • Prepare incident reports and corrective action plans.

  • Coordinate during emergencies and crisis situations.

  • Ensure safety and security standards are followed.

7. Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Monitor uniforms, ID cards, and security equipment issuance.

  • Coordinate with stores and logistics for operational supplies.

  • Ensure proper usage of company assets and client property.

8. Financial & Cost Control:

  • Control overtime and operational costs.

  • Optimize manpower utilization.

  • Support billing verification and attendance reconciliation.

  • Ensure profitable operation of assigned sites.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate in any discipline preferred.

  • Ex-servicemen preferred.

  • Certification in Security Management is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–6 years experience in security operations/facility management.

  • Experience handling multiple sites and large manpower deployment.

Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and team management

  • Client handling and communication skills

  • Knowledge of security operations and emergency handling

  • Good reporting and documentation skills

  • Ability to manage crisis situations

  • Knowledge of labour compliance and PSARA norms

  • Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Email)
