Role Overview: Skilled MIG Welder / 5G Welder responsible for performing high-quality welding work on metal structures, pipes, and fabrication projects using MIG welding techniques and 5G pipe welding standards. 
 

Core Responsibilities

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret isometric drawings, welding symbols, and structural specifications.
• Material Preparation: Cut, bevel, align, and fit pipe sections together before welding.
• Joint Welding: Use specialized techniques like TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), or Stick (SMAW).
• Quality Inspection: Test completed welds using visual, radiographic, or hydrostatic pressure methods.
• Safety Maintenance: Follow strict OSHA regulations, fire safety protocols, and ventilation rules. 

Key Requirements & Skills

• Technical Precision: Ability to weld in difficult angles (e.g., 6G position) and tight spaces.
• Physical Stamina: Strength to handle heavy equipment, kneel, and bend for long periods.
• Metal Knowledge: Deep understanding of metallurgy, heat control, and filler metals.
• Certifications: Possession of industry-standard qualifications (e.g., AWS, ASME Section IX).
