Job Description – EHS Officer (Environment, Health & Safety Officer)

Role Overview
Responsible for implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems, legal compliance, safety audits, training programmes, and workplace safety standards within the plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

★ Conduct EHS, safety, first-aid, and Train-the-Trainer programmes independently.
★ Ensure compliance with all statutory EHS legal requirements and maintain legal registers/forms.
★ Monitor NC (Non-Conformance) closure and ensure timely compliance actions.
★ Prepare and maintain SOPs, EHS forms, formats, HIRA, and HAZOP study documentation.
★ Conduct safety audits, emergency preparedness studies, and submit reports to DISH authorities.
★ Ensure maintenance and inspection of fire & safety equipment across the plant.
★ Implement effective Work Permit Systems and Work at Height safety practices.
★ Monitor EHS standards for boilers, chillers, reactors, tanks, stacks, and scrubbers.
★ Manage OHC (Occupational Health Center) activities and employee health check-up programmes.
★ Create EHS awareness materials such as posters, presentations, diagrams, and safety communication content.
★ Coordinate with plant teams to improve workplace safety culture and EHS awareness.
