About Job Role : A plumber is a skilled tradesperson who installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems for water, gas, and waste. They ensure buildings have safe drinking water, proper sanitation, and efficient heating or cooling.
 

Key Requirements & Skills

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulics, drainage systems, and local/national plumbing codes.
• Tool Proficiency: Ability to safely operate pipe cutters, threaders, wrenches, and diagnostic cameras.
• Physical Stamina: Capacity to lift heavy materials, work in tight spaces, and stand for long periods.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting abilities to quickly locate the source of malfunctions and leaks.
   

Core Responsibilities

• Installation: Assemble, install, and connect pipes, fittings, and fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, bathtubs).
• Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose plumbing issues, clear clogs, fix leaks, and replace broken valves or pipes.
• Appliance Hookups: Connect and service water heaters, garbage disposals, dishwashers, and washing machines.
• Testing: Pressure-test systems and inspect plumbing networks for leaks and regulatory code compliance.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and layouts to plan pipe routing and infrastructure requirements.
