Roles & Responsibilities -
- Lead the overall high-performance program for athletes training at the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE).
- Develop and implement long-term athlete development and performance enhancement strategies aligned with national and international standards.
- Oversee the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of training programs across all sports disciplines at the centre.
- Coordinate and manage a multidisciplinary team comprising coaches, sports scientists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, and strength & conditioning experts.
- Establish performance benchmarks, key performance indicators (KPIs), and athlete monitoring systems to track progress and outcomes.
- Work closely with head coaches to design competition plans, training cycles, and athlete preparation strategies.
- Ensure the effective integration of sports science, medicine, nutrition, biomechanics, and recovery services into athlete development programs.
- Identify talent development pathways and support the transition of athletes from grassroots to elite levels.
- Develop individualized performance plans for elite athletes and monitor their implementation.
- Analyze performance data and provide evidence-based recommendations to optimize athlete performance.
- Lead injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-play protocols in collaboration with medical and sports science staff.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on excellence, accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with national sports federations, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and oversee annual performance plans, budgets, resource allocation, and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with policies, safeguarding standards, anti-doping regulations, and athlete welfare guidelines.
- Organize regular performance review meetings and provide reports to the Bihar State Sports Authority and relevant authorities.
- Support coach education, professional development, and capacity-building initiatives within the high-performance ecosystem.
- Represent the centre at national and international meetings, conferences, competitions, and high-performance forums.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, research, and adoption of best practices in sports performance and athlete development.
- Contribute to achieving medal-winning performances at national and international competitions through strategic leadership and performance management.
