Job Summary :

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure proper receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions in ERP systems.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
  • Supervise store personnel and allocate daily tasks effectively.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock verification and cycle counting.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving, and non-moving items.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and stock discrepancies.
  • Ensure optimum inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory.

Material Management

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Production departments for material planning.
  • Verify material receipts against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of materials.
  • Monitor material consumption and generate inventory reports.

Documentation & ERP Management

  • Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes (MIN), Gate Passes, and stock registers.
  • Update inventory transactions in ERP/Tally/SAP systems.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards within the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and audit requirements.

Team Management

  • Lead and supervise store staff and warehouse assistants.
  • Train team members on inventory processes and best practices.
  • Monitor team performance and productivity.


Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Stores Management and Inventory Control.
  • Experience in Warehouse Operations and Material Handling.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems, SAP, Tally, or Inventory Management Software.
  • Expertise in Stock Audits and Inventory Reconciliation.
  • Understanding of FIFO, FEFO, and inventory valuation methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
