Job Purpose : To support installation, preventive maintenance, breakdown rectification and repair of line pumps, boom pumps and associated concrete pumping equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, commissioning, periodic maintenance and breakdown servicing of line pumps, boom pumps and related equipment.
• Inspect, identify and rectify basic faults in hydraulic systems, including hoses, fittings, filters, valves, cylinders and hydraulic pumps.
• Carry out basic maintenance of diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, batteries, starter motors, alternators and associated electrical wiring.
• Dismantle, clean, inspect and reassemble mechanical and pumping-system components under the guidance of the Service Engineer.
• Attend customer sites along with the service team and ensure timely completion of assigned service activities.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments and service equipment safely and correctly.
• Qualification
• ITI in Pump Operator cum Mechanic, Mechanic Diesel or Mechanic Motor Vehicle.
• ITI Fitter candidates may also be considered where they demonstrate sound mechanical aptitude and willingness to undergo hydraulic and diesel-engine training.
   

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulics, commercial vehicles, construction equipment or heavy machinery will be preferred.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic hoses, pumps, cylinders, valves and filters.
• Ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments and basic electrical testing tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work at customer sites.
• Valid driving licence will be an advantage.
