Key Responsibilities

• Safety & Hazard Detection: Routinely inspect working areas to check for gas accumulation, inspect roof and side supports to prevent falls, and ensure strict compliance with the ⁠Coal Mines Regulations. 
• Blasting Operations: Directly supervise drilling, placement of explosives, and shotfiring to ensure all safety precautions are met. 
• Worker Oversight: Guide subordinate employees on daily tasks, ensure correct timbering/support practices (adhering to Systematic Support Rules), and monitor equipment usage. 
• Statutory Compliance: Maintain required shift logs, record safety inspections, and report any accidents, ventilation issues, or hazardous accumulations to superiors. 
• Emergency Response: Act as the on-site coordinator during mine emergencies, managing evacuations and participating in rescue operations if required.
