To perform routine operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and breakdown maintenance of the solar power plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspection of solar PV modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, SCADA and other plant equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of solar plant electrical equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults in inverters, combiner boxes, DC/AC systems, cables, junction boxes and protection systems.
• Monitor plant generation, equipment parameters and alarms through SCADA/local monitoring systems.
• Conduct module cleaning, visual inspection and identification of damaged, cracked or defective modules.
• Check DC strings, connectors, fuses, earthing and cable termination for abnormalities.
• Assist in maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear and auxiliary systems.
• Attend breakdowns and restore equipment within the required response time.
• Record daily generation, equipment readings, breakdowns and maintenance activities.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure safe working conditions at the site.
• Follow electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, LOTO and permit-to-work systems.
• Support site engineers during preventive maintenance, testing and shutdown activities.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors during specialized maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality and O&M procedures.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of Solar PV plant electrical systems.
• Knowledge of DC and AC electrical systems.
• Basic understanding of inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels and SCADA.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter and megger.
• Basic computer and reporting skills.
