Solar Technician – Rooftop Solar Installation & Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair rooftop solar PV systems in accordance with industry standards and technical specifications.
• Conduct routine inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of solar panels, inverters, electrical wiring, and related equipment.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with electrical safety standards, company SOPs, and applicable PM Surya Ghar guidelines.
• Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
• Conduct system testing and assist in commissioning solar installations as required.
• Maintain accurate records of installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Identify and report equipment defects, performance issues, and safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate PPE and electrical safety equipment.
   

Required Skills:

• Good understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, electrical safety, and solar energy systems.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV modules, inverters, batteries, and related electrical components.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and on rooftops.
• Willingness to travel across West Bengal based on project requirements.
• Candidates with relevant technical training/certification in Solar, Electrical, or Renewable Energy will be preferred.
