Job Description

Job Summary :

FC Agniputhra is seeking a committed and organised Assistant Manager to support the management and day-to-day operations of the senior men’s team competing in the KSFA Super Division. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Head Coach, Team Manager, coaching staff and players to ensure smooth coordination of football, administrative and matchday activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Operations

  • Assist the Team Manager in the daily management of the senior team.
  • Coordinate training schedules, team timings and daily activities.
  • Ensure players and staff are informed about training, matches, meetings and other team commitments.
  • Assist with training-ground and matchday preparations.
  • Coordinate logistics related to training and team activities.


2. Player Coordination

  • Maintain regular communication with players regarding schedules, reporting times and team requirements.
  • Assist with player attendance, availability and discipline records.
  • Support the management in addressing day-to-day player concerns.
  • Help ensure players follow club policies, team rules and professional standards.


3. Matchday Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating matchday operations and team reporting.
  • Ensure players and staff are present at the venue on time.
  • Coordinate match kits, equipment, documentation and other requirements.
  • Assist with registration, team sheets and match-related administrative requirements.
  • Liaise with officials, venue representatives and opposition management when required.
  • Support the coaching staff and Team Manager before, during and after matches.


4. Football Department Support

  • Work closely with the Head Coach and coaching staff to support the team's football programme.
  • Assist with communication between the coaching staff, management and players.
  • Support the implementation of team schedules, meetings and football-related activities.
  • Assist with player trials, recruitment activities and onboarding when required.


5. Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate team records and documentation.
  • Assist with player registration and competition-related paperwork.
  • Maintain attendance, availability and disciplinary records.
  • Coordinate required documents with the club management and competition authorities.
  • Assist in preparing team schedules, travel plans and operational checklists.


6. Communication & Coordination

  • Act as an effective communication link between players, coaching staff and management.
  • Maintain professional communication with opposition teams, officials, venues and service providers.
  • Ensure important information is communicated to the relevant personnel promptly.
  • Represent FC Agniputhra professionally in all football-related interactions.


7. Team Standards & Professionalism

  • Help maintain discipline, punctuality and professional standards within the team.
  • Support the club's values, policies and football philosophy.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding team matters, player information and internal discussions.
  • Promote a positive, organised and professional team environment.

Matchday & Training Support : The Assistant Manager is expected to be available for:

  • Training sessions
  • League and cup matches
  • Team meetings
  • Player registration activities
  • Away-match travel
  • Club events and official activities
  • Other football operations as required


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in football team management, administration or operations.
  • Strong understanding of football and the requirements of a senior men's team.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a competitive football environment.
  • Strong coordination and time-management abilities.
  • Professional attitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with coaches, players, management and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of KSFA/AIFF competition procedures will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in basic documentation, spreadsheets and communication platforms is preferred.
