Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG/CO₂ welding on fabricated components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and aligning materials before welding.
• Set up and operate welding machines and related equipment.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
• Repair defective welds and perform rework when required.
• Use fabrication tools such as grinders, cutting machines, and measuring instruments.
• Follow welding procedures and company quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors and quality inspectors to complete jobs on schedule.
   

Skills Required

• Proficiency in MIG/CO₂ welding techniques.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding equipment setup and maintenance.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and measuring tapes.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
