Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & New Client Acquisition
- Independently identify and develop new business opportunities in Government, PSU, Enterprise and Corporate sectors.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, references, industry contacts, events, tenders and direct business development.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
- Identify customer requirements and map them with the company's IT, Telecom, Software, Infrastructure and System Integration capabilities.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, IT heads, project teams and senior management.
2. Government & PSU Sales
- Identify relevant Government, PSU, institutional and public-sector opportunities.
- Track tenders, RFPs, RFQs, EOI and other procurement opportunities.
- Coordinate internally for technical proposals, commercial proposals, compliance documents and bid submissions.
- Develop relationships with government departments, PSUs, system integrators, consultants and channel/technology partners.
- Follow up opportunities from initial enquiry through technical evaluation, commercial negotiation, order placement and project execution.
3. Corporate & Enterprise Sales
- Acquire new corporate and enterprise clients and develop long-term business relationships.
- Understand client business requirements and coordinate appropriate technology solutions.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, product demonstrations and solution discussions.
- Prepare and submit proposals, quotations and commercial offers in coordination with internal teams.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and contractual requirements to achieve profitable business.
4. End-to-End Sales Cycle Management
The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete client lifecycle:
Lead Generation → Qualification → Client Meeting → Requirement Understanding → Solution Development → Proposal/Quotation → Negotiation → Order Closure → Execution Coordination → Billing → Payment Follow-up → Repeat Business
- Maintain ownership of opportunities until successful closure and handover.
- Coordinate with technical, project, finance, procurement and operations teams.
- Ensure commitments made to customers are properly communicated and tracked internally.
- Maintain regular follow-up until order closure and payment realization.
5. Revenue & Target Ownership
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Develop and execute individual business development plans.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines.
- Track order value, billing, collections and account-wise revenue.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling, up-selling and repeat business.
- Take ownership of revenue generation rather than depending solely on company-generated leads.
6. Client Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Conduct regular client meetings and business reviews.
- Understand upcoming projects and customer requirements to create future sales opportunities.
- Resolve commercial and coordination issues in association with internal teams.
7. Reporting & Sales Management
- Maintain CRM/sales pipeline and opportunity records.
- Submit periodic sales reports covering:
- New leads
- Client meetings
- Active opportunities
- Proposal value
- Order pipeline
- Orders booked
- Revenue generated
- Collections
- Forecast
- Provide regular market intelligence and competitor information to management.
