Job Title - Senior Staff Nurse - Accident & Emergency Services
1. Management of the department to ensure efficient and effective daily operational activities. It is achieved by:
- Responding to changing activity and patient dependency by optimum management of available resources.
- Anticipating potential risks and executing appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
- Demonstrating operational knowledge of nursing procedures applicable to area of assignment.
- Assuming leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities in the unit.
- Managing resources to achieve optimum productivity.
2. Planning and managing patient care in the department to fulfil and exceed customer satisfaction. It is achieved by:-
- Performing or carrying out nursing care as per Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Effective communication and collaboration with all parties concerned to ensure the best clinical outcome for the customer.
3. Delivery of critical and emergency nursing care and management according to the hospital protocol and policies. It is achieved by: -
- Management of various code implement in the department.
- Appropriate patient’s management in emergency situation in the department
4. Providing safe and effective nursing services to customers in order to achieve customer satisfaction. It is achieved by:-
- Ensuring completion of all competencies and orientation checklist within stipulated time frame.
- Addressing customer’s complaints promptly.
- Attend in-service programs organized by the hospital and keep nursing knowledge and skills up to date.
5. Provide supervision and guidance towards junior nurses to ensure a high standard of nursing care is provided at all times. It is achieved by:
- Undertaking the supervision of newly qualified nurses.
- Assist with the orientation of new members of staff.
- Coach, teach and supervise junior staff.
- Minimum Experience Required: 3 Years
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Age Limit: 27 -50 Years
- Gender requirement: Open but preferably female
- Language requirement (English/Other) and what level: English written and spoken
- Basic Salary: From RM 3000 per month & Specialized Allowance: RM 1,100 per month.
- Duty Hours: 45 Hours per week on rotation shifts
- Over Time: rotation shifts
- Working Days: 6 days per week
- Contract Period: Two (2) years subject to second-year temporary practicing license (TPC) renewal approval from Malaysia Nursing Board.
