Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup and Operation:
o Set up and operate embroidery machines, including multi-needle and multi-color machines, to stitch designs on fabrics.
o Load design files into the machine, ensuring accurate placement and alignment on fabrics.
o Adjust machine settings such as stitch length, tension, and speed according to design specifications.
2. Design Interpretation:
o Interpret and prepare embroidery designs from artwork or digital files.
o Ensure the design fits fabric type and style while meeting customer specifications.
o Select appropriate threads, colors, and fabrics for each project.
3. Quality Control:
o Monitor machine operations to ensure designs are executed precisely and consistently.
o Inspect finished embroidery for defects such as misalignment, skipped stitches, or thread breakage.
o Conduct sample tests and make adjustments to ensure color matching and design accuracy.
4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
o Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of embroidery machines.
o Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions, including thread breaks, tension issues, or design file errors.
o Replace needles, threads, and other machine parts as needed.
5. Material Handling:
o Prepare fabrics and garments for embroidery, ensuring proper hooping and tension for even stitching.
o Cut and trim excess thread after embroidery is completed.
o Ensure proper handling and storage of finished products to avoid damage.
6. Safety and Compliance:
o Follow safety protocols, especially when handling sharp tools or operating machinery.
o Ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety regulations.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of production runs, materials used, and machine settings.
o Report any issues or delays to the supervisor and document production details for future reference.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in embroidery or textile manufacturing is a plus.
2. Experience:
o Previous experience in embroidery machine operation is preferred, especially in a textile or garment production environment.
3. Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting embroidery machines.
